The CUBE Acid 240 Disc Actionteam is a kids' mountain bike designed to give young riders a genuine MTB experience, combining features inspired by CUBE's adult mountain bikes with dimensions and components specifically adapted to smaller riders. The combination of an Aluminium Lite 6061 frame, SR Suntour suspension fork, Shimano hydraulic disc brakes and 8-speed drivetrain creates a confident and capable platform for gravel tracks, trails and off-road adventures.
The CUBE design pays particular attention to proportions. The handlebar, saddle, grips, pedals and controls are sized with younger riders in mind, helping make the bike intuitive and easy to control.
The frame uses CUBE Aluminium Lite 6061, a heat-treated aluminium alloy selected for its balance of stiffness, durability and weight. The structure is engineered to provide the strength required for off-road riding while maintaining proportions suitable for a children's mountain bike.
The Acid 240 Disc also features mounts for a luggage rack and bottle cage, increasing its versatility for longer rides. The replaceable gear hanger is designed to be easy to replace, a useful feature on a bike intended for young riders who are still developing their off-road skills.
Front suspension is provided by the SR Suntour SF20 XCT JR fork with 60 mm of travel. Designed specifically for junior bicycles, it helps absorb bumps and improve comfort and control across gravel tracks, trails and uneven surfaces.
The drivetrain uses a Shimano RD-M3020 8-speed rear derailleur combined with the Shimano SL-M315 Rapidfire-Plus shifter. The Sunrace CSM55 11-34T cassette provides a useful range of gears for both flatter sections and climbs.
The ACID 32T 127 mm crankset with chainguard is sized for junior riders and helps protect the chain and clothing during everyday use. A KMC Z8.3 chain completes the simple and reliable drivetrain.
The CUBE Acid 240 Disc Actionteam is equipped with Shimano BR-MT200 Hydraulic Disc brakes, using 160 mm front and rear rotors. The hydraulic system provides progressive and easy-to-control braking performance, while the levers are designed to work well with smaller hands.
The ACID Pro DB-19 24" wheelset uses 28-hole rims and QR/QR configuration. The CUBE 2.1" tyres provide an appropriate contact patch for off-road riding, helping deliver grip and stability on gravel and trails.
The cockpit consists of a CUBE FPH863 Semi-Integrated headset, CUBE Aluminium Lite stem and 580 mm CUBE Aluminium Lite handlebar. ACID Kids Grips are designed to suit younger riders' hands.
The finishing kit includes a CUBE Kid saddle, CUBE Aluminium Lite 27.2 mm seatpost, CUBE PP MTB pedals and an ACID bell.
The CUBE Acid 240 Disc Actionteam is offered in a OneSize configuration with 24" wheels. CUBE recommends it for children approximately 118–136 cm tall with an inseam of approximately 52–63 cm. These figures are general recommendations and should be considered together with the rider's proportions and riding ability.
The geometry features a 72° head angle and a 72.4° seat angle. Virtual top tube length is 512 mm, reach is 349 mm and stack is 534 mm. Wheelbase measures 969 mm, while chainstay length is 426 mm.
The bottom bracket sits 40 mm above hub axle level, with a declared protrusion height of 647 mm. The stem measures 40 mm with a 6° angle, while the handlebar is 580 mm wide and the crank length is 127 mm.
The declared weight of the CUBE Acid 240 Disc Actionteam is approximately 11.8 kg. The maximum declared rider weight is 65 kg, including clothing and equipment worn by the rider.
In addition to its MTB equipment, the frame includes rack and bottle cage mounts, allowing the bike to be adapted for longer rides and family adventures. Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, suspension and junior-specific components create a complete platform for young riders developing their confidence and technical riding skills.
